We aim to advance social justice by conducting research that drives policy and practice changes that improve cancer outcomes and equitable access to care for people and populations who are structurally marginalized.

This research, led by Dr. Tara Horril, is much required. The more knowledge on health inequity between people in different demographics and socio economic conditions, the better the opportunities to address the inequities and ultimately save lives. I was a person who bore the brunt of discrimination and biases as a person experiencing homelessness – to the point where my life was a breath away from being taken from me. The kind of research REACHE Lab is doing will help reduce these kinds of incidents. It is imperative that research like this continues, as we look to change systemic barriers to better and improved healthcare.
